Mother nature conjures up a significant snowfall
Just as we begin the alpine resort’s peak season mother nature has cooperated providing a dump of snow which will ensure snow enthusiasts of allpersuasions (cross-country, downhill and snow boarding) are catered for.
This is the month when key events such as the 42km Kangaroo Hoppet, invite-only Stylewars, Big Air and inaugural Falls Creek Sled Dog Race are held at Victoria’s largest alpine resort.
Participants from all parts of the globe can now confidently plan their trip to Falls Creek knowing it has had a dump of snow and their respective events will go ahead as scheduled.
As of today the picture-postcard alpine resort has a natural snow depth of 63cm and quite a number of trails will be declared open for the first time this winter.
The Summit Chairlift will provide access to Skyline and Village trails for intermediate to advanced skiers and boarders.
A team of creative people will add additional elements to the renowned terrain park and the cross country groomers are making the most of the fresh snow by offering 30km of skating and classic trails.
It is ski in – ski out at its best today and will be for the foreseeable future.
