Icon Holidays has secured a new allocation of accommodation and reserved seats in St. Peter’s Square for its canonisation of Mother Mary MacKillop gold package.

As well as the highly-prized reserved seats and four-star central Rome hotel, the six-day Icon package (from $1559 per person twin share) includes “Dinner with the Tenors” (four-course meal plus wines and soft-drinks), breakfasts, Mass at Mary MacKillop’s favourite church in Rome (the Church of Saint Ignazio), the Christians-in-Rome half-day tour, a tour of the Vatican Museum and St Peter’s Basilica, private arrival and departure transfers and meet and greet service.

The package is for October 13-18.

Icon Holidays managing director, Simon Hills said inquiry had increased significantly over the last month.

“Reserved seating is the real value-add in this, because reserved seating is just not available in most packages in the market,” he said.
