Fiji’s Coral Coast – Where Tradition, Culture and Nature Meet. That’s the new marketing slogan for Fiji’s Coral Coast.

Australians have a longstanding love affair with the Coral Coast, located on the southwestern shore of the Fijian island of Viti Levu.

Aussies see it as “just a meal and a movie away from Australia”.

Tourism Fiji’s Coral Coast chapter committee put up its new logo at the Bula Fiji Tourism Exchange at Port Denerau, Nadi. The branding is backed by Coral Coast hotels, tour operators and local businesses.

Committee chairman Jay Whyte said the Coral Coast combined superb natural scenery and sandy beaches with an interesting history – and a love of rugby.

Whyte said the Coral Coast would have a Fiji Coral Coast rugby team involved in the Rugby 7s tournament later this year. The effort would start as a small local affair and would go international from 2011, with support from Sydney’s Fijian community.
