Medical Tourism Experts Deem Quality as the Most Essential Component of a Healthcare Destination
Dubai, U.A.E – Quality is perceived to be the most essential component of a medical tourism destination, according to 94% of healthcare travel professionals that participated in an international medical tourism survey.
This survey, which can be found at www.drprem.com, was conducted over a 6-month period by prominent medical tourism expert and consultant Dr. Prem Jagyasi.
The research revealed that 51% of medical tourism experts working closely within the industry believed the quality of medical facilities and services in a certain location seemed to be the most important aspect of making it a prime destination to provide healthcare. Other reasons identified as being key components of a medical tourism destination is accessibility of the destination, with 30% of the respondents marking this as their choice and 27% of participants cited ‘technology, facilities and other specialized services available’ as being another key aspect of a healthcare destination.
Other key findings from the survey revealed that India, Thailand and Singapore were ranked first, second and third as the most popular medical tourism destinations respectively. Surprisingly, The United States was placed at number four.
