You’ll never walk alone on a European Waterways Burgundy cruise

European Waterways is offering, by popular demand, another Walking Cruise in Burgundy aboard their hotel barge La Belle Epoque. The 6-night/7-day cruise, departing on October 10, 2010, is being arranged after a similar cruise later in the month became fully booked virtually overnight.
The cruise is ideal for 8 to 12 keen walkers who want to combine their enthusiasm for walking in this beautiful region of France with their love of the finer things in life when back on board their luxury “floating boutique hotel” at the end of a day’s energetic yomping, such as premier cru Burgundy wines and amazing cheeses.

Highlights of the walks during the week will include a visit to the hilltop village of Flavigny sur Ozerain, where the film “Chocolat” was filmed and a tour of Alesia, the last battle site between the Gauls and Romans that took place in 52 BC.

And, of course, any time spent in Burgundy wouldn’t be complete without a private wine tasting or two in the cellars of the renowned local vineyards!

Rates for a walking cruise aboard “La Belle Epoque” are from €2,990 per person sharing a double cabin and €32,100 for an exclusive charter of the entire vessel for 12 passengers. This is all-inclusive (excluding travel).
